Welcome to MIX BY HEYMAN and my world of mixing. I’m Christian Heyman, and I have worked as a recording engineer, sound guy, and producer for over ten years. I ran Heyman Studios in Copenhagen for the last seven years, but now it’s time to present MIX BY HEYMAN.

I offer stereo mixing & mastering services for labels, producers, and independent bands and artists. My mixing approach is expansive, big, and dynamic, focusing on making your production reach its full potential and take on its unique character that will make your music stand out.

In other words, it’s my ambition to make my customers’ vision for their products come true and live up to the brand they represent.

My approach to mixing and mastering is to take any material and create as big a sound as possible. I like to create and enhance the emotions and movement in the music. So the artist’s work and visions get through to the listeners.The meaning behind “Just Make It Hi-Fi” is that I feel like many people lean on a more Lo-Fi approach out of necessity. I lean towards creating an ultra pristine and expansive sound and then adding the characterful moments. In that way, the chosen elements stand out with character.

My mixing setup is a combination of very rare vintage equipment as well as the latest cutting-edge technology.
Thru the years, I have developed a system that allows me to work freely between analog and digital without having problems with recall, etc. This allows me to harness the tonal benefits between these two very different worlds without any setbacks.
